USA Today is reporting that "hundreds of powerful computers" at the Defense Department and the U.S. Senate were
hijacked and used to send spam.
The compromising of the Federal computers was discovered as a result of Operation Web Snare, the offensive
announced last week by the Justice Department, and through which the Feds made at least 150 arrests of spammers,
phishers, virus senders, and other cyber misfits.
