It's the Next Big Thing in email, coming to an inbox near you: spiritual spam. Evidently some wired evangelists have hit upon a brilliant plan - they, too, can use the cheap email addresses and spam software employed by the big spam companies, to spread the good word.
According to Neil Hammerton, managing director of computer security company Email Systems, religious spam only makes up about 1% of all spam out there. Of course, there's probably not a lot of money in it, just a promise of extra rewards in heaven.
Which brings up a good spiritual spam question: if you break laws to deliver God's message, is it a sin or a righteous act? I can't wait until the Supreme Court reviews that one.
